Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo welcomed the positive developments in the two countries’ relations, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, in the fields of politics, diplomacy,  trade and investment. In terms of politics-diplomacy, the two sides reaffirmed the importance of enhancing delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels across all channels of the Government, the National Assembly, ministries, branches, localities and people-to-people exchanges. to strengthen political trust and create new impetus for economic cooperation. The two sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums, especially the United Nations. Vietnam and Nigeria are willing to act as a bridge for each other to establish relations with regional organizations such as the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS) and ASEAN.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo affirmed their determination to strengthen economic cooperation and increase bilateral trade turnover commensurate with Nigeria’s potential and market size of over 200 million people and nearly 100 million people of Vietnam.
