Eligibility
Business Visa is available to citizens of all countries except ECOWAS Nationals who do not require visa to visit Nigeria and other countries with whom Nigeria has entered into visa abolition agreements.
Class of Persons Eligible to Business Visa
- Foreign Travelers who wish to visit Nigeria for the purpose of Meeting, Conference, Seminar, Contract Negotiation, Marketing, Sales, Purchase distribution of Nigerian Goods, Trade Fairs, Job Interviews, Training of Nigerians, Emergency/Relief work, Crew members of Airlines, Staff of NGOs, Staff of INGOs, Researchers, Musical Concerts Artists.
Requirements for Nigerian Business VISA
- One (1) completed visa application form
- Invitation letter from business counterparts in Nigeria (original copy preferred) sponsor/business associate to take full responsibility for immigration and welfare of invitee while in Nigeria.
- Copy of sponsor’s/business associate’s passport;
- copy of Certificate of Business Registration;
- Letter of Introduction from Employer (original copy preferred) – including a copy of the Company’s Business Registration Certificate
- Evidence of sufficient funds
- Roundtrip airline ticket
- Hotel booking
- Valid passport
- One (1) coloured passport-sized photograph (4×6)
- Copy of applicant’s passport
All foreigners are expected to tender copies of Temporary Resident card/Work permit.
All applications for visa and other consular services must first be submitted and cross-checked at the Embassy.
Validity
Validity of stay is 90 days (not extendable)

Step 2: Affix 2 passport sized (35/40mm) passport photographs with white background.
Step 3: Mail application or proceed with the completed form to Embassy/High Commission for submission with attached requirements.
Note: Applicant may be invited for interview if necessary.
Payments for Consular Services provided by the Mission to be paid in US Dollars into the Embassy’s USD Account.
