About the Embassy

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Vietnam, situated at 44/1 Van Bao Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, serves as a key instrument in strengthening the longstanding diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Vietnam, established in 1976. Initially, overseen through concurrent accreditation to Nigeria’s Embassy in Beijing, China, bilateral relations deepened with the establishment of the Embassy in Hanoi in June 2007. The diplomatic ties between both nations was further reinforced in 2012 when diplomatic representation was elevated from the level of Chargé d’Affaires to Ambassadorial level.

The Embassy remains instrumental in promoting trade, investment, and cultural exchanges between Nigeria and Vietnam, across various sectors. The Embassy also provides essential consular services, including passport intervention exercises, and legal document authentication, for Nigerian citizens, as well as visa processing for Vietnamese and other foreign nationals.
