Eligibility

  • Expatriates employed by individuals, corporate bodies or governments (i.e. to take up employment in Nigeria)

Requirements for Nigerian STR VISA

  • One (1) completed visa application form;
  • Copy of quota approval from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Abuja;
  • Letter of offer of employment to the expatriate from agent or hiring company;
  • Application letter for issuing STR Visa from agent or hiring company in Nigeria to take full responsibility for immigration and welfare of invitee while in Nigeria;
  • Copy of Certificate of Incorporation;
  • Copy of sponsor’s passport;
  • Letter of Introduction from the applicant’s Employer (original copy preferred) – including a copy of the Company’s Business Registration Certificate;
  • Employment contract;
  • Acceptance letter of employment by the expatriate;
  • Copies of relevant Credentials & CV of the expatriate;
  • Evidence of sufficient funds;
  • Roundtrip airline ticket (booking);
  • Hotel booking;
  • Valid passport;
  • One (1) coloured passport-sized photograph (4×6);
  • Copy of applicant’s passport;
  • All foreigners are expected to tender copies of Temporary Resident card/Work permit.

Payments for Consular Services provided by the Mission to be paid in US Dollars into the Embassy’s USD Account.
