Eligibility
- Expatriates employed by individuals, corporate bodies or governments (i.e. to take up employment in Nigeria)
Requirements for Nigerian STR VISA
- One (1) completed visa application form;
- Copy of quota approval from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Abuja;
- Letter of offer of employment to the expatriate from agent or hiring company;
- Application letter for issuing STR Visa from agent or hiring company in Nigeria to take full responsibility for immigration and welfare of invitee while in Nigeria;
- Copy of Certificate of Incorporation;
- Copy of sponsor’s passport;
- Letter of Introduction from the applicant’s Employer (original copy preferred) – including a copy of the Company’s Business Registration Certificate;
- Employment contract;
- Acceptance letter of employment by the expatriate;
- Copies of relevant Credentials & CV of the expatriate;
- Evidence of sufficient funds;
- Roundtrip airline ticket (booking);
- Hotel booking;
- Valid passport;
- One (1) coloured passport-sized photograph (4×6);
- Copy of applicant’s passport;
- All foreigners are expected to tender copies of Temporary Resident card/Work permit.

Payments for Consular Services provided by the Mission to be paid in US Dollars into the Embassy’s USD Account.
